RE: JayCo Travel Trailer + Tahoe = Aerodynamic Issues

"I traveled 3800 miles on this trip, had dozens of near collisions, etc and when I got back - my car had to have the rear differential bearings replaced and all 4 brake rotors resurfaced" I don't think it matters what hitch he upgrades to, this is too much trailer for the vehicle.

RE: Funniest E-Mail Ever from a Manufacturer - Carrier.

According to the product manual for the AirV High capacity heat pump - ducted, it does the following: MODE SELECTOR BUTTON - Press this button to select the desired mode. In COOL mode, the unit will run at the normal cooling mode. In DRY mode, the microcomputer of the unit controls the fan motor and makes the unit automatically cycle on and off according to the room temperature. This enables the moisture to be removed more efficiently. In FAN mode, only the fan will operate at the selected fan speed and circulate the room air. In HEAT mode, the unit will run at the normal heat pump mode. And in FURN. mode, the unit will run at the normal furnace mode...... The PDF manual can be found here.

RE: Voice recorder

$30? Good luck. I paid $100 for a nice Sony that plugs into the USB on my computer.. they sound horrible by themselves. You should have bought an Olympus - they have very good sound quality.

RE: Voice recorder

I can highly recommend the digital voice recorders from Olympus - Found here. I bought my wife the VN-4100pc last Christmas and she uses is quite a bit. We finally had to replace the batteries (2 AAA) that came with it about a week ago - so battery life is excellent. Good luck.

RE: Keyless Entry

I would get the remote from here. Good service and costs much less than the dealer. They have a spot to enter your vin on the left side of the page, but you will still need to check with the dealer to make sure the remote option is installed on your vehicle.

RE: converter boxes

The Zenith model from Circuit City allows you to adjust the volume as well as program it to turn the television on and off.

RE: TV Converter Box Coupon

Curious if the Wal*Mart converter (Magnavox?) has analog pass through when switched off, and a decent universal remote so you don't have to juggle two remotes. BTW, I went on the site to check my status it said my coupons were "in the mail" and I should allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. :h According to one of the reviews on the Walmart site, the Magnavox doesn't have analog pass through.

RE: converters again

If you mean the digital/analog converter boxes They ALL have pass through, ALL of them,, This may change in a year or two but for now they ALL pass through when turned off. No they don't !!!

RE: pass thru boxes

They Pass through Some may but the Zenith boxes do not pass an analog signal through when turned off (if indeed that's what the OP meant).

RE: pass thru boxes

I have 3 of the Zenith converter boxes which look identical to some of the other brands. They do not pass the signal through when turned off so I have to use an A/B switch to switch between the regular and digital signal.
